Dead Men Don't Pay - Judge Vacates Ken Lay Conviction

5th US Circuit of Appeals judge vacates Ken Lay's conviction on 10 counts of fraud and conspiracy. The court states that a dead guy cannot properly challenge a ruling that is in appeal, therefore the conviction is wiped out. This thwarts the ability of the government to seek the $43.5 million dollars Lay alledgely took when Enron collapsed and there was a $60 billion market value loss and $2 billion lost in pension plans. Guess I won't be getting back any of the $17K I lost in my 401K that year :)

Now there's a happy widow!
