New Legislation OR Pre-Planned Conspiracy?

I SWEAR - I'm NOT a Conspiracy Theorist! However...I'm living in a time unlike anything I've ever seen in my lifetime, and I'm 46. I'm amazed lately at the lightning speed in which rules are changed...both nationally and locally. Each new "regulation", or "new law" up to and including BOTH my "Obama" administration AND my Nevada legislation...has creepily had RESULTS BEFORE the ink was dry on the paper! Obama signs a new bill...within 3 days it seems I get new updates on my business software to compensate for the new expenditures/rules! My Nevada legislature signs a new law, and before the ink is dry I get a letter in the mail explaining the NEW way I must fill out tax forms or meet tax obligations, and / or I get a strange check in the mail that might benefit me TODAY, but it WON'T benefit future home buyers! Is all this stuff pre-planned? HOW CAN IT BE...it's NOT efficiency I ASSURE you that's causing all this. In years past...you almost had to ask or beg for new rules after they were passed in "Congress" to insure yourself you were obliging to new regulations before you might be penalized for not doing so. Today...news airs...next 3 days you get notification! In a country of 300,000,000 folks..."they" are NOT that efficient! "They" also aren't fooling anyone! Folks that study bills before State Legislature or Washington Congress can READ BETWEEN the lines! Every county in my state has a different sales tax %. Reno has been 7.375% since I've been in business...but we had an allowance credit for paying on time that got cut in half in the bad economy. That comes out of MY pocket. Sales Tax that I PAY my county is none other than writing a check for that which I collect...called a "wash" for those in the business know. For business owners...we got a "notice" that our allowance for making timely payments was cut in half from Jan.-June. Well...it's June. We also heard that sales tax going up was a passed measure in Legislature! Well...let me read you the letter...paraphrased yet accurate! The previous reduction in the collection allowance (Jan-June) will remain in effect for ALL FUTURE RETURNS. In addition...the local school support tax of sales & use tax will increase from 2.25% to 2.60% (don't EVEN know what that is but SOMEBODY is paying it!)...as of July 1, 2009. Based on these increases...here...blah blah are new tax rates...Reno...7.725%????? While SOME...MIDDLE CLASS folks bear these increases...they make it seem like tax rates went DOWN from 7.735% to 7.725%??? Maybe some other counties really got humped...I only keep up with mine :) BUT...BANGING average folks for the INCREASES and LOWERING the sales tax to consumers by a miniscule amount...DOES NOT MAKE FOR LOWER TAXES! HELLO!!! The INCREASES that are MORE are paid by the average folk, the same way you give us a percentage of a penny OFF our sales tax??? Don't you government folk THINK WE the LITTLE PEOPLE can actually DO MATH??? "You" GOVERNMENT stick a rose in our faces while you stick a hot poker up our butts and think WE don't know the difference given your convoluted formulas of "government math". Let me spell it out for any Republican or Democrat out there. 2+2=4. Dividing CRAZY ideas into REAL numbers only leads to failure. YOU aren't fooling ANYBODY! Nevada Legislature's idea of 4...Obama and his Congress's idea of 4 is NOWHERE EQUAL TO 2+2! GIVE US A FREAKING BREAK ALREADY!!!! "They" cannot EVEN account for all the bail out money...but by God...I've gotten notices of me paying MORE immediately! A bad bill passed in Nevada that is "good for me" as a homeowner that "already" owned a home...got a tax abatement check. For new homeowners...they are going to pay taxes on full market value of anything purchased if my thinking is correct. The only "roll-back" to pre-so-in-so tax values was going to require this if my study is true! BUT...just saying...things are happening QUICK these days...like "they" ALREADY knew what was going to happen before it did! Am I crazy? OR...does anybody else notice this?

Arlen Specter CHANGES PARTY

BOY! The underlying drama of each day in the White House lately is so bizarre; even Stephen King couldn't make this crap up! 79 year old Pennsylvania Senator, Arlen Specter today (after closed door meetings with Harry Reid & the ilk), decided the only chance he has to win his next election bid in 2010 is to CHANGE PARTIES and become a Democrat! Pat Toomey almost beat him in the last election, and will most likely beat him for sure in 2010. DEMOCRATS - BE VERY AWARE OF THIS MAN - THIS POST IS NOT ABOUT POLITICS - THIS REGARDS SERIOUS CHARACTER FLAWS! Specter's decision now gives the Senate the desperately desired 60 vote majority that is filibuster- proof. The current group of politicians has long been in chase of this victory. They wiled their way around folks until they found the perfect fall guy...the guy that is centrist and moderate, and the guy that's 79 years old! My Daddy told me LONG YEARS AGO!!!, "Malinda...no matter how little or how much you have...ALWAYS stand by your God, Family, Principles, Guns, & Money...for if you CAN be bought...you WILL MOST CERTAINLY BE SOLD later on! #1: The Democrats WILL sell Arlen Specter down the river later on...he will FOREVER be beholding to them for whatever was spoken in that back room. #2: The Democrats of Pennsylvania SHOULD NOT vote for this guy in 2010! Find your own qualified candidate that stands by his own convictions. If Arlen Specter turned on his party of 40 years...he will turn on you if the offer is good enough! BELIEVE THAT PEOPLE! #3: WE WILL NEVER KNOW the underlying promises of this deal, but trust me, it's ugly. I believe Mr. Specter will long regret selling his soul for political gain...or not... #4: THE GOVERNMENT - NEITHER REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT - CAN PROTECT AGAINST - KARMA! The karmic circle is infinite, holds NO ALLEGIANCE to anyone or anything but the force within it, and it never ends, and is never complete...it just goes on and on.

Michele Beard NEW Nevada GOP Chairman (Washoe County/Reno) - Harry Reid NO MORE!

Tonight, Reno, NV made history. Reno is Washoe County, and we elected a new President/Chair for the Washoe County Republicans. CONGRATULATIONS! TO MICHELE BEARD! NOW FOR MY NATIONAL READERS...IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ ALL OF THIS...SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM PARAGRAPH...IT'S IMPORTANT AS HELL... Sounds simple enough, but it's NOT! Washoe County has about 500,000 citizens...along with the rural counties that add a few more to Northern Nevada. Reno is the forever "labeled" red-headed step child of Las Vegas (Clark County). It's NOT! Reno, Sparks/Washoe County IS THE BACKBONE of the Nevada Republican Party and the DIRE DESIRE to become what the GOP used to stand for. Las Vegas/Henderson comprises TWO OF THE THREE congressional districts in Nevada! Sadly, Clark County (due to its close proximity to California and the mass influx of residents that moved here from CA) is HUGELY Liberal! We do have a Republican Senator from Vegas...but it's tough down South, and my jury's out on Senator Ensign's true commitment to true Conservatism due to the sheer pressure of the Libs there on his positions. In what I'm going to call a surprising defeat, our own "term-limited-out" State Senator Maurice Washington lost to Michele at the election tonight. The great part of good politics (yes there are GOOD politics), is that when you have two great candidates running, someone must lose. I saw grass roots America speak out tonight in Washoe County, and I am pleasantly surprised, but that comes with a great plea to give the deserved person that won the support she needs from the ENTIRE NATION! WE MUST DEFEAT HARRY REID IN 2010! I will admit here on this blog that I voted for State Senator Washington...FOR THE REASON THAT HE HAS NOTORIETY, IS A GREAT AND FABULOUS ORATOR, STICKS 95% TO ALL CONSERVATIVE VALUES, AND COULD BE A NATIONAL NAME THAT FOLKS COULD RECOGNIZE in our fight to defeat Harry Reid in 2010. He has a LOT of experience that would have made him a viable candidate :) I also thought he could stand a better chance of raising the estimated $30,000,000 it's thought will take to DEFEAT Harry Reid! Scary isn't it...that a little 'ole state in the Wild Wild West must raise a freaking 30 MILLION in order to defeat bad judgment! He is a GREAT NEVADAN, he is a GREAT and often lonely voice voting FOR US in our Nevada Legislature! I really love the dickens out of this guy...but Nevada, Washoe County chose another GREAT NEVADAN...a simple everyday local GREAT AMERICAN, NEVADAN to hold this position! However...let it ALSO BE SAID ON THIS BLOG...that Michele Beard has been EVERYWHERE in the last few years where Northern Nevada Politics has had a voice. Her dedication to the GOP in Nevada has been impeccable! She is KNOWLEDGEABLE, she has a great military background, she knows the in's and out's of EVERY ASPECT of the county's voting population. She has been tireless in her efforts to support every qualified and successful Nevada Conservative elected official from dog catcher to senator! She WAS PRESENT for all the woes and wants while Nevada struggled through having many viable Presidential Candidates in 2008 come through Nevada, a Swing State...and even though some didn't want McCain...she fought hard to try and promote him as the MORE VIABLE candidate (ANYBODY BUT) Obama. She has served completely dedicated and without pay to the exiting President/Chair of our county's GOP for multiple years. Our GOP offices are all based on a volunteer basis. Probably the thing that hurt Senator Washington was the desire to have a paid staff. NEVADA CONSERVATIVES ARE ALL ABOUT NOT SPENDING MONEY WHERE MONEY DOESN'T NEED TO BE SPENT...call us crazy...we NEED money...but for our candidates to WIN...NOT to pay the people informed and active in getting them there :) Michele pulls no punches, she works hard and fair through honesty, parliamentary procedure, she listens to the people, and is beholding to NO ONE. She's never held any "official paid office" regarding politics that I know of. She's only attended legislation...not been "one of them"...and she is a bit plain in her appearance to the public. What I mean by that...is she isn't a dynamic speaker, she doesn't move mountains when she speaks...she just does, and she just says it like it is...BUT what she says is correct to a fault, and she's always given her positions her all. You know...JUST A NORMAL FOLK LIKE ALL OF WE ARE! I figured tonight that our "more public and popular" State Senator that has served many terms as a State politician was a shoe in for the office. BUT...as grass roots as Senator Washington IS... it proved to be that Nevadans WANT REAL grass roots and REAL locals to head our County Political Party ;) Tonight's vote was HARD for me. I was undecided up until the last moment. I had enough faith in our grass roots body that I believed that IT'S IMPORTANT ENOUGH to get rid of Reid that I voted for someone I thought could have a little better shot at making that happen. I actually held my pen in hand and twitched a couple of times...before I voted. SO...I CAN SAY WITH A CLEAR CONSCIENCE THAT I'M PROUD OF MICHELE!!! It was that last twitch of my pen that made me X the other candidate. So to my nation... To my readers... To ANYONE that thought that someone more "famous" should have won...WATCH OUT! Michele will be here for us all...(and if she finds a hard day... there's plenty of US to pick her up), even Senator Washington and the REST OF THE REPUBLICAN LEGISLATURE!!!...THE ENTIRE UNITED STATES NEEDS TO BE BEHIND THIS WOMAN!!! WE CANNOT DEFEAT HARRY REID WITHOUT WASHOE COUNTY NEVADA..AND DON'T ANY OF YOU EVER FORGET THAT FOR ONE SECOND!!! Harry Reid has Las Vegas basically in his pocket! HELP Michelle! Send her e-mails! Send the Nevada GOP MONEY! Harry Reid ALREADY has $7,000,000 (SEVEN MILLION) dollars in his fund. Washoe County has $43,000 in it's fund. Reject Reid Tea Party Protest - Nevada Tea Parties

Nevada spoke out today in fine fashion. In Carson City, NV our capitol, crowd estimates are between 2000-3000. The streets were lined with law abiding, tax paying, fiscally responsible, AMERICAN patriots whom have been labeled by the Obama DHS as "right wing extremists", this link IS THE REPORT. The funny side of that is that among our thousands that held tea parties in Nevada today...MANY were in fact Democrats. Welcome Democrats to the "domestic terrorist" category LOL! (Pictures from Carson from KRNV Channel 4 Reno). I even saw one sign that said "Obama-YES - Harry Reid - NO". Just goes to show you that ALL Americans are TEA'D OFF! You Tube Video HERE :) Isn't it funny that we were SUCH a PEACEFUL crowd, laughing a lot, and having local citizens HONK at us a lot..and we ended up NO THREAT to society :) I couldn't get my camera up quick enough, but EVEN a police car flashed a PRO sign to us from a window. I could only catch most of it with my eyes as it turned, but I think it said "Don't Spread My Wealth, Spread My Work Ethic". It was PRICELESS and damn...couldn't get it quick enough :) Thank you to our local police officers that KNEW we were a peaceful yet determined crowd, and appreciated our laughter, music, signs, and our peaceful demonstration! GO RENO RPD You guys ROCK! It ALSO ROCKED that a RTC Bus Driver HONKED at us, and so did a Waste Management truck. It was so COOL that people of ALL walks of life from the elite wealthy to the working guys & gals that couldn't join us ALL AGREE that it's damn TIME that WE THE PEOPLE are represented! We were proudly donned in our red "Reject Reid" T-shirts complete with tea bag necklaces with stars, flags, and even an elephant :). We fought the bitter cold and terrible winds. Approximately 200+ folks showed up for the event. This event was sparked largely due to outrage that our own Republican Mayors Bob Cashell (Reno) right, and Geno Martini (Sparks) left, were co-hosts at a downtown Reno reception/fund raiser for the DIShonorable Stinky Pinky Harry Reid. Minimum $500 donation, but suggested $2000 PAC contribution was expected to allow entrance to this dastardly event. In my video I caught Mayor Geno Martini coming out of the reception. He was all smiles, and gracious to our crowd. I heard one attendee say to him cheerfully, "Shame on You!". He replied with a cheerful (shrugged shoulders), "Oh Well..." Oh Well mayor...enjoy your term, you WON'T be re-elected by Nevada Republicans...get that resume polished up :) Amazingly, and I'm sure as a campaign strategy...Harry Reid agreed FINALLY to appear on our local Conservative talk radio station KKOH today on the Bill Manders Show. Opposite him, our other senator (R) John Ensign had the other portion of the show. I've got to say...I've said openly that John Ensign seems to me to be a bit of a RINO. He was the ONLY Nevada official in Washington to vote FOR the stimulus bill. His voting record is a bit less of RIGHT than I would like, but on this program...he sure seems now to be towing a different line? He's CERTAINLY better than our Democratic representatives, but "I dunno yet" as they say... Ensign too, is from the Liberal South Nevada, from Vegas...so I'm not sure about him yet. He seems to be getting on board... possibly it took WE THE PEOPLE to show him a better route. I wish better days for him, and hope he finally grows the cajones to stand with HIS PEOPLE ;) Today, he did speak with reason and Conservative tone. Former State Senator - Colonel & Dr. Joe Heck who has announced his run for Governor was present. He is a graduate of some impressive Military Stragetic training, was an Army Corp doctor, and was a Colonel. I don't have an opinion on him yet...he's from Clark County (Las Vegas...HUGELY LIBERAL), so I've read some negative typical liberal dribble on him...but haven't studied him enough yet to form a real educated opinion. He seems really down to earth though, seems fiscally conservative, and so far so good. He was supposed to have spoken at my last NvFRW board meeting, his wife came instead...he was called away on some military business of some sort...I admired that. She was engaging and who knows, Joe Heck just might have a shot...we'll see as time plays out. AT LEAST TODAY...he cared enough about the OTHER Congressional district in the North to SHOW UP :) By the way for you that are outside Nevada...Las Vegas comprises TWO (2) Congressional districts. THE ENTIRE REST OF THE STATE is the "other" district. Look at a freaking MAP! Nevada is one of the largest states in the Union...ONE CITY (+ SURBURBS) comprise TWO districts...the ENTIRE state is left as the other district, and we are HUGELY CONSERVATIVE in the "rest" of Nevada :) That includes my city of Reno...in my county...about 500,000 residents! There's still Carson City, the capitol, and all of the rural areas...comprising Ely, Elko, Winnemucca, Fallon, Fernley, Gardnerville, Minden, Yerington, etc. A fair note here: North Las Vegas mayor Mike Montandon also spoke to us at our board meeting, and is also running as a Republican gubentorial candidate. He was impressive as well, has great points, and seemed to be a qualified candidate too. I don't want to see TOO MANY good Republicans put their name in the bucket...because RORY REID...YEP...THE SON OF BIG STINKY PINKY HARRY REID has announced his run on the Democratic side for Governor. WE CANNOT ALLOW ANOTHER REID INTO ANY OFFICE!!!!...NOT EVEN DOG CATCHER!!! All in all, IT WAS A GREAT DAY for Nevadans. It is a shame that in the "rural...more 'redneck' part of Nevada"...which means outside Las Vegas...THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE turned out in their particular towns and cities for Tea Parties. The area of Nevada (2 Congressional districts) (where Harry Reid hails from) mustered an estimated 500 people for their rally :( NEVADA WILL NEED THE HELP OF THE REST OF THE NATION TO OFF HARRY REID IN 2010! He will have MILLIONS in campaign donations by the time of the election. If you've ever considered donating money to a campaign outside your own state...PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING to whichever Conservative candidate Nevada puts forth in 2010. He's a one man demolition crew for the demise of the Yucca Mountain Nuclear project that could raise billions for our state, and he is a socialist encouraging Barack Obama at every turn to wallow all Americans into decades of debt. This man is the scurge of Nevada and your Washington DC. HELP NEVADANS GIT RID OF HIM IN 2010!!!! Harry Reid is to America what leprosy was to the islands years ago. He is a cancerous sore, a gangrene smelling lecherous nastiness to any citizen of this nation. He is the largest embarrassment to Nevada that we've had in years, and his agenda is tainted. Tainted is the kindest thing I could ever say about this moron, and I CANNOT BELIEVE my own Republican leaders, our mayors are supporting him for a MINIMUM $500 donation / SUGGESTED PAC donation of $2000 to attend a function to raise money in Reid's honor. Mayor Bob Cashell, Mayor Geno Martini...your days are finely numbered now. Your constituents WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS...so get your resumes' ready! You're gonna be looking for a new job come re-election time! Your traitorous, and treasonous! And to think...this "honorable reception function" will be held ON THE SAME NIGHT as the Spring Republican Committee meeting in our capitol of Carson City! Rush Limbaugh CPAC

As much as we all know President Obama is a brilliant man and a great speaker...I never got a "tingle" up my leg as some did when he spoke. That is because I listened to WHAT he was saying. I by accident caught Rush Limbaugh's keynote address to the CPAC conference today, and I must admit...my leg did tingle. As a true Conservative I believe with my life that all of you are free to believe what you want and to side with who you wish. As for me...I WAS INSPIRED! I was reminded that I have a great life! I was reminded that in all my bitching and complaining sometimes over anything that has happened over the last 30 years...I have it good, and I really DO have good people around me :) In my political activism I sometimes get down because I think I have no voice...I DO...WE DO...not everything happens in a day...but right always wins. If you watched that speech or listened to it in its intirety, and then you cannot understand that Conservatism is the backbone of the USA and all of what the founding fathers intended for us... then I'm sorry... We'll never tell you "I told you so"...for we won't have to. When we no longer have anything to give to you...and you cannot believe there is no more...as you sat idly by believing with all your heart that someone somewhere was going to come and save you...then you may sit idly by with all of us when there might be no more hope or change. As for me...I'm going to pick up my bitching butt and go forward. I'm going to remind myself of my own favorite quote that was given to me by the ex-producer of the late great Credence Clearwater Revival band when I dealt cards to him one night across a blackjack table in Reno, and he was of age 80 something. Grass isn't greener on the other side of the fence. It's greenest where it's watered. Stay home and water your grass :) I intend to water my grass and be thankful I have a large yard to water :) Nothing is perfect but some things are damn close, and I choose what's been damn close for over a decade at least in my life, or even longer :) I apologize to myself for ever thinking on a whim or a drink that anything would be any different :) I apologize to myself that it took me this long to give up the past, and know...that it's only right now and what we can believe that matters sometimes. Conservitism IS NOT DEAD...our mistakes die, our idioscryncies may last moments, but our core values and our core people last through anything. I'm gonna go hug mine, my kids, my companies, and my beliefs, and my husband...I'm going to LIVE my life and be HAPPY that I have a good one :) Rush...thanks for inspiring me again to be steadfast and accomplished :) Thanks for inspiring me to realize what I have and NEVER BITCH about what I don't have...for it's ONLY MY choices and MY ACTIONS that determine such.

SJR2 - VOTE on Judges - NOT Appoint

We would like to keep our judges on the Nevada Supreme Court and District Court ELECTED positions, NOT appointed positions! It doesn't matter if you are a Democrat or Republican...THE PEOPLE need to ELECT these important people...not have them appointed by croanies of whichever party they belong! Write your officials NOW...the hearing is Mon. Barack Obama Inauguration

Well, it's over. We have inaugurated the 44th President of the USA. I'm trying so hard to keep my happy and positive face on and hope for the best, but the facts keep stabbing me like sharp knives and pokers as I sit in a pool of paint thinner. I found a couple of things disturbing as I watched the "festivities" today. Since when during any inauguration is the new First Lady NOT arm and arm with her husband at all times? Am I the only one that noticed Barack Obama had his woman sitting behind him...or coming out before him...and then again behind him...and only with him for a brief moment at the moment of oath? I found that odd and disturbing. I find that odd a lot with Barack H. Obama. He has a knack of always walking into a situation or a place all alone with that overly ME auora about him. I find it creepily narcissistic. I realize he flubbed the oath. The gentleman giving it flubbed too. This observation has nothing to do with that...as I don't judge folks in an extremely emotional moment that get tongue tied and have a goof...we are all human. BUT...as I listened to Joe Biden's oath...it was read by his orator perfectly, and he quoted back the oath as it should be. Is it just me...or did any of you find it odd that Barack Hussein Obama did NOT swear in his inaugural oath to defend this nation against enemies both foreign and domestic. That's like one of the hugest parts of the whole oath! I find that eerie that he ommitted that from his oath and I also find it UNAMERICAN! I guess we'll see. I'm trying to be positive, but this man makes it hard. I do wish him the best, but more than ANYTHING I just hope SOMEONE in the next four years will remember that we...WE THE PEOPLE are still out here waving frantically hoping that someone again might notice US. It's become so all about THEM in Washington...it feels to me like it's THEM up there, and WE down here are just little trolls that meander around cluttering up the countryside while they carry on their own personal agendas on our dime. This man was my first choice to be President of the USA. Then four or five choices later down the list...we got stuck with John McCain. Sadly, had it not been for Sarah Palin he wouldn't have gotten NEAR the 47% of the vote he received. Republicans HAVE to get back to the basics and CONSERVATISM. I'm glad to see that Fred Thompson isn't worried about being politically correct, and still maintains the stamina and sense of humor to give us this jewel below. GM No Bailout

I'm not one to fall for SPAM e-mail, but I got an e-mail tonight that Lord hope would be SPAM, but who knows anymore! But for ANYONE to EVEN pretend they worked for GM and send out this crap deserves my rant, and folks...the country's changing! Keep your eye on the ball! My rant follows below (my answer)...but BELOW that is the original e-mail I supposedly received from GM, GMC, Chevrolet, whatever you wish to call them...but some media somewhere is SENDING this kind of garbage to US...WE THE PEOPLE! DON'T FALL FOR IT! If we don't STAND for SOMETHING...we'll FALL for ANYTHING! Dear Ms. Betts: GM TALKING POINTS! ARE YOU SERIOUS? IS THIS WHERE ONE OF THE BIG THREE HAS GONE? Don't you dare send me an e-mail as a business owner suggesting that I don't know "widgets" or what the ????? If you need to say what the ????? at least have the brass ovaries (I'm assuming you are female since your "name" is Yvonne)...to come on out and say what the fuck? Same 5 keystrokes, but the REAL message! I'm a VERY small business owner yes, but as an owner of two full service garages (both successful so far), one for big rigs and trailers and the other one for pickups...we are talking about "widgets"...the kind that haul BIG LOADS, run on either diesel or gasoline, but nonetheless provide a service to their owners to allow them to make their living, or have their fun... The doom and gloom that the media portrays to us all is NO WHERE NEAR quite true just yet. In the great depression the folks were standing in bread lines just HOPING for a bite to eat. We just went through Black Friday, and even today on Cyber Monday...the lines are LONG, but it's LONG lines for responsible folk to SPEND their money on the INCREDIBLE SAVINGS OUT THERE from desperate companies like GMC. Preach all the GREEN you like, but your GREEN is government mandated, you (GM) for years have provided substantial campaign donations to whichever candidate is likely to win, and NOW...YOUR GOVERNMENT has taken money from others too and pushed you into the GREEN market. Your hybrids are shit, your technology is WAY BEHIND mom & pop aftermarket products, and ALL BECAUSE you guys are "so cool" and "in a union" while the rest of us out here in REAL AMERICA are just pushing along and REALLY making a living and making a difference! Oh GEE...your GREEN vehicles can go a "whole 40 FORTY miles on a single charge?" What widget class did your designers FAIL at the community college? Most folks actually travel close to 40 miles per day going to and from work! GIVE US A BREAK! You are preaching to the WRONG choir! Models "smaller than we're used to", fuel improvements of 25% (are you freaking kidding me!)...25% is like saving $2.50 on $10.00. EVERYBODY still has $2.50. Try a hydrogen assist cell aftermarket part that will save over 50% on fuel mileage AND you get to keep your OWN CAR/TRUCK! PLUS, a 1989 Chevy (One of YOUR GM products...the HEAVY ONE...NOT GREEN ONE...now gets 27 miles per gallon after a year!) Get OVER the GREEN... Green has become the hated color of any upstanding American! You're GREEN at GM because all the "other" subsidies you've ALREADY been given by our government MANDATED you to be. You guys don't spend money responsibly and you DON'T have great ideas! Yep, you sell good vehicles. The Chevy Duramax is one of the BEST...but hey...it's not GREEN...and you sold yourselves to the Devil, and now you are paying and NOW NOW NOW...YOU WANT ME TO PAY YOU WITH MY TAX DOLLAR BAILOUT! I'm not picking on you, Ford & Dodge are all in the same boat...they just didn't send me the FIRST STUPID AND RUDE E-MAIL on the subject! Brianna Denison's Killer Arrested

While bittersweet for the family that will not celebrate Thanksgiving with Brianna this year...her killer was arrested and our city will certainly give thanks for that this season. James Michael Biela, 27 was arrested and charged with the kidnapping and murder of Briana Denison. Brianna was kidnapped last December when Biela spotted her asleep on the couch through a glass door. Her body was found in January 2008 dumped in a field here in Reno. Two pair of intwined women's thong panties were found near her body. DNA evidence collected at both scenes matched DNA found on another victim who had been attacked but were able to escape. Biela, a pipefitter by trade left Reno in March 2008 to take a job in Washington state. He sold his white Toyota pickup in that interim that matched the description of the truck law officials were hunting down in this area. The vehicle was sold in Idaho, but officials have now obtained that vehicle and have it as evidence. In September 2008, Biela's girlfriend and a companion travelled to Washington to help James move back home. The girlfriend's female companion found petite thong panties in his vehicle. When confronted, James Biela stated he had stolen them from a laundrymat in Washington. A call was later made to the Secret Witness program of Reno suggesting to law enforcement that James Biela might be a likely suspect in the Brianna Denison case. Biela was questioned, but denied any involvement, refused to submit DNA, and stated his girlfriend would provide an alibi. The girlfriend was questioned, and stated they had a tulmutous relationship. She admitted that even though she and Biela had a child together; it was common for him to leave for days at a time, and she could not account for his wherabouts during the time Brianna Denison went missing or was found. Police obtained DNA from the four year old child of Biela and found a linking match. After further investigation a warrant was issued and following analysis, Biela's DNA proved to be a match in both pending cases ongoing in Reno. A ten month search is over finally. Beautiful Brianna may now rest in peace knowing her killer has been found. Bring Bri Justice has been a cry throughout Reno for months. We'll see. While DA Richard (Dick) Gammit "says" he'll leave the death penalty option on the table...4 murders have been committed in Reno just in the last few months, and another 3 murders occured last Halloween. Most gang related, and pre-meditated...Gammit did not seek the death penalty with any of the captured murderers. Let's hope he rights those wrongs in this case. It's never too late to begin seeking true justice in Washoe County! Developments are fast changing in this case, so keep up to date at RGJ.com (Reno Gazette Journal)...

Suzanna Gratia-Hupp - Right To Bear Arms

In so many ways she and I are different, but yet the same. This woman lived the unthinkable and regretted her choices. I used to carry a weapon, but like her gave it up. As we've been talking on all our blogs...our 2nd Amendment rights are in danger. I just purchased another gun after many years of not carrying one. As soon as I re-complete said training so that my exercise of my 2nd Amendment right is not a felony offense...my purse will weigh a little more. God forbid I ever find myself in Suzanna Gratia-Hupp's shoes, but I will be prepared if I do. My heart goes out to her, and I cannot THANK HER ENOUGH for taking the time, effort, and selfless expenditure of her money to travel to Washington DC and give the Big Boys a real piece of her mind. Her thoughts are mirrored by MILLIONS of Americans and the big boys better take notice!

Pregnant Man Expecting Again

I'm going to try hard to make this post seem kind, but I don't think I can because this event is not kind to humanity. The photo came from ABC News, and the video link came from CNN News. (Steve Fenn/ABC) All of us live with or/around gay or lesbian people and we are semi-tolerant of their choices in lifestyle because in day to day life, the effort to just bash or lash out at someone personally that has never wronged us keeps us sane for moments. I normally don't say much to them, but DAMN, when you bring innocent children into the picture that have no say in their destiny...I have to speak out for THEM. I'm sorry...this is wrong on so many levels I think; and I think these children when growing up at some point when adults will have many issues and some vacancy of normalcy. Yep, anyone can say..."Who are YOU to say what's NORMAL?" I'm nobody, and I have no authority on normalcy...but I think life in general does. I am a Christian believer, not particularly practicing (as others would call normal)...but this just goes beyond anything I can comprehend as normal. In THIS VIDEO these folks seem really sweet and well intending. I'm sure in their world and behind their own closed doors that they swung wide open to Larry King, they are normal in their minds. They are not. I understand their love for each other, but it's an abomination. The husband is not "really" a man. She is not really a "he". It's a he/she. The wife is a woman, but since she chose this lifestyle with this person...she is simply a lesbian, she's not a wife. This "man" had breast surgery, and underwent harmone therapy. She took some drugs that made her grow facial hair, she cut her hair, and she had her tits removed...called it a day..."poof" she's a man. The woman fell in love with he/she, had already had a hysteroctemy, and thus at some point conned a physician into letting them order sperm from a bank, take it home, and she placed in "he" the seed of a child via syringe. He/She gave birth to a daughter and our media has the nerve to say a MAN had a baby! THIS ISN'T A MAN! It's a half trans-gendered individual, lesbian wanna be man, and no matter how good his intentions are...or how much he loves his "wife" or she loves him...it's all a farce and our media is really stupid to think WE believe HE had a baby and is now going to have another one! She is having another baby with her lesbian lover thanks to a sperm bank. Gay rights advocates should look closely here though...given all the raucus they've caused in our downtown streets lately over Proposition 8 in California! These people are actually considered legally married and legally parents. They have health insurance, property ownership, and all benefits granted to heterosexual individuals that ARE MARRIED. If you gays/lesbians want these rights...get some minor plastic surgery, take a few testerone pills/shots, cut your hair, and voila...you're now half everything, but wholly legal in the warped minds of individuals in power all across America. No wonder the foreigners always say, "America...what a country!" Aren't we something. We allow illegal people to have everything for free and we allow half people to be legally whole...aren't we a smart bunch of asshats? I know in this country we have freedom of religion (or none) and I respect that and will always fight to keep freedom. But many religions look to the Bible for guidance. The same way Mr. & Mrs. He/She have the right to believe and say what they wish...so do I. I believe Leviticus, a book written by Moses. I am publishing the "New American Bible version" for those who need more literal copy, but if you would like to see the original, it's in the King James version of the Bible. Take heed to verse 22. The other verses are for any other imaginable freak out there that thinks they've found normalcy in their kum-ba-yah version of existance. I'm sure the extra testosterone fed to the first daughter will cause some effects, but the mentality in general makes me take great pause as to the mentality of those in the next generation responsible for us as we get old. No matter HOW you personally believe; at least give me this...THERE ISN'T NOW, NOR HAS THERE EVER BEEN A PREGNANT MAN...no matter what the media tells you! Christian P. Humphreys Gave His Life For Me

On behalf of my family and all the families of Reno/Sparks, and the Sparks Republican Women...we'd like to take a moment to think in silence, bow our heads, and give a moment of reverence to Christian Humphreys of Fallon, NV; and through our tears thank him for giving his life for our freedom and the sovereignty of our great United States of America. Our community has lost many fine young men in our current wars, and none go unnoticed or forgotten. May God bring peace and comfort to his loved ones, and may his sacrifice never be taken for granted. RIP Christian... Army Chief Warrant Officer Christian P. Humphreys, 28, of Fallon died Saturday when a helicopter crashed in Iraq, the U.S. Department of Defense announced Monday. The latest casualty in Operation Iraqi Freedom. An OH-58 Kiowa observation helicopter crashed while on a mission over Mosul, the military said. The cause of the crash was not known. Chief Warrant Officer Donald V. Clark, 37, of Memphis, Tenn., also died in the crash. It was unclear who was the pilot. Humphreys was assigned to the 6th Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, Task Force 49, U.S. Army Alaska, Fort Wainwright, Alaska, the Pentagon reported. Messages were left with the military in Alaska. The Zogby Poll after the election was sadly disheartening! This is the mentality (or validity of it so to speak) of the people that elected "The one". Obama Won

This is a hard post for me to write on many levels. It's the RIGHT post for me to write ALSO on many levels. The signature photo will be the worst that I might say for a while...unless... I've never been so involved in politics as I have been over the past campaign. Heck, the last two Presidents Clinton & Bush took up the last 16 years of my life, that's basically a generation. My youngest son is 19. Before that, Bush Sr. took up 4. For 20 years, our nation has been ruled by the same two families. I fought HARD for the GOP this year, and our candidate John McCain lost tonight with grace, and losers must be gracious as winners should be. My Mama also taught me that whether or not you respect the person sometimes, it's important to respect the position of a person if they are managing that position in a responsible way. Barack Hussein Obama will not take office until January, 2009. I'm not happy that he won and I have a lot of fear that life will change drastically for the worse for ALL OF US in the next four years. However I see that as HOPE and I see that as CHANGE. BECAUSE, if I have to pay that detrimental price for four years to FINALLY get our country back on track, I'll just work harder, do better, and be glad that the NEXT generation doesn't have to live through what I had to live through with Jimmy Carter! With the last 20 years being consumed by not much in Washington and most to our detriment in a lot of ways...it just might be time for CHANGE. (I LOVED BUSH JR. FIRST 4 YEARS)... It may not be GOOD change that's coming our way, but folks that don't take interest in the big picture are the same people that just don't educate themselves on the "end result" of what their politicians will do to them. (THIS ELECTION...EVERYBODY was taking notice!) If BAD change happens, then FINALLY in 2012 we will see a trend back to normalcy and common sense. Sometimes you have to let people learn the hard way that something for nothing is never good, if it sounds too good to be true it probably IS, and NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES anybody tells you "Trust me, I've been there", THEY never "get it" until they've been there themselves. I HOPE that we as a nation have not let or raised SO MANY people to believe that hand outs are better than hard work and success to the extent that it becomes the nation's standard forever. For if that's true, we are all doomed because if I keep having to pay for more and more of others' needs because they don't feel it necessary to do it on their own...guess what...we will have another Civil War. I will NOT continue to bust my ass and employ people that think I owe them everything (and BELIEVE ME...it's NOT all of MY employees I worry about) (My employees make pretty good money and as long as I CAN under Obama's rule, I WILL appreciate them!). I owe you the decent paycheck you are earning, as many benefits that I can offer you (government allowing), and bonuses anytime you do something really cool. Beyond that, I don't owe you shit. And if you cry shit, poor mouth, oh poor me,...if you do substandard work because you "just don't think you feel like working hard"... then look at your own surroundings or circumstances. I do the very best I can for everyone that I can that works for me. Also...when the Obama supporters shrug a nose down at me...don't forget this. I grew up on a dirt poor cotton farm in West Texas raised by some of the best people on earth. Because I OWN the business YOU work at? Don't EVER THINK I don't know what "living in a tent" is like. I've been there. I've been a single mom, I've BEEN the gal that counted change in a zip-loc bag just to buy necessities on an occasion or two. I've left my children in daycare that was less than appropriate for them, but all the while making the decision whether to work and feed them or stay at home and hope like hell someone would feed us. Guess what...I had to work, WORK... It may seem to employees that business owners have the "cushy life", but we didn't get there but for learning THE HARD WAY that nothing viable comes without sacrifice and scratching. When at the "top" (while we pay all the taxes), you may think we look down, but each and every day we LOOK UP, and thank God that we survived, learned, and have folks willing to make no less than $14 per hour to help us along the way...and REALLY HOPE those making $28 per hour see it more :) THERE ARE NO EMPLOYERS THAT WERE NOT EMPLOYEES AT SOME TIME! I look up yesterday, I will look up tomorrow, and I will FOREVER LOOK UP at the people that make America work, and THAT'S ALL THE EMPLOYEES! I used to be one, and many days I wish I was one again :)...and still we are still employees of our own companies :) Working managers of small businesses have the rare opportunity to see BOTH SIDES of the fence. Strange place to be some days :) IN MY LIFETIME - 4 of 11 Presidents had "uncanny" circumstances lead them into or out of office! That's a LOT! Weird things CAN change a nation! NOT TO MENTION 9-11! You think George Bush, Jr. was "expecting" THAT to happen? Again...don't be so quick to judge that you are not so quick to remember! At that time YOU gave him the unprecedented 71% approval ratings. TODAY, your Congress has a 9% approval rating and Bush STILL has a 26% approval rating! Do ANY OF YOU understand NUMBERS? If Obama promised you so much more, and you truly believe that he will provide you so much more then my hat's off to you for voting for him. However, when it DOESN'T happen? When Obama turns out NOT to be the knight on the silver horse? Guess what...don't come crying to me. My new mantra will be, "Call Obama...he promised it to you...I tried to tell you...I didn't vote for him...YOU DID!". On the other hand...what IF he turns out to be OK. I will be the first one to tip my hat to you and admit that he was the good idea you all had to make it better. None of us has a crystal ball, so that has to be a conversation for later... Shit has been in a bad way or at least an uncanny way for a LONG TIME...even before I was born! Check out the time line... Kennedy (JFK): 1960-1963 - Last GREAT speaker and Democrat of our time - Democrat taken down by a bullet in his first 1000 or so days. We'll never know how great he would have been... Johnson: 1964-1968 - Won by default when Kennedy got shot. Kennedy was much like Obama in the charismatic way...the country MOURNED, the last assassination since McKinley in 1901. Johnson won a new term one year later, but the country never got over Kennedy. "The New Guy" NEVER has a chance after a disaster like that, even though Johnson accomplished some great civil rights acts, tax cuts, AND HE TOOK US TO THE ORBIT OF THE MOON! BUT...he did not end Vietnam, and the country still MOURNED. He was NOT the charismatic speaker Kennedy was. Nixon: 1970-1972 - Republican Nixon wins big. Nixon accomplished profit sharing, end of the draft, appointed Conservative justices to office, LANDED folks on the MOON, and debated successfully for better peace in USSR, Egypt, etc. He even started the "green" movement with better environmental policy...BUT THEN CAME WATERGATE! That was back when "scandals" meant something. His own Vice President Spiro Agnew had skeletons in his closet, so EVEN BEFORE Nixon "quit", Agnew "quit" and thus...Nixon APPOINTED the next president Gerald Ford! THREE GUYS in the course of a mere 4 YEARS HAD the opportunity to lead this nation...quite an historical shakeup! Ford: 1972-1976 - Ford got thrown into a big shit box! Battling increasing inflation, energy shortages, world peace with Russia (USSR) all up in arms, being "the guy" that took over for the "guy that screwed everybody over"...he never had a shot either! He won the nomination again, but lost to Jimmy Carter. HOW BAD does the nation's mindset have to be to let a guy like Jimmy Carter WIN! The world as we knew it then was in a BAD STATE OF AFFAIRS! Carter: 1977-1980 - Carter will forever be known as the worst President in our nation's history. It was his fault that I had to leave my home state of Texas. He de-regulated petroleum, trucking, and airline industries...which immediately the prices went UP, UP, UP... He formed the Dept. of Education (good concept...bad policy his way), he appointed the largest numbers of folks to government jobs in history that were unqualified based merely on the fact they were women, or people of colors, and he raised our nation's interest rate to 21% in some states. He had a few good days in the Panama Canal and with Egypt. Otherwise, he CRUSHED our nation. Some of his de-regulation policies are just seeing their fruition TODAY, thus our economy again CRASHED! Yet, the unknowing, unstudying, "all for the poor that don't try" generation gave this freaking guy a Nobel Peace Prize! Go figure! It was the prize alright, just the prize for the guy that gave away the biggest PIECE of your pie anyone ever has! Peanuts & Billy Beer...remember him? Reagan: 1981-1988 - ALONG CAME REAGAN! Hollywood actor, Governor of California (LORD, I bet he flops in his grave each day if he could see CA now!), just an average guy (he was...some Hollywood types used to be average guys!)... America saw peace in his term. He tore down the wall in Berlin through policies of peace through STRENGTH, not "negotiation", or "let's talk". Reagan understood consequence and he led it. Not to mention that he was SHOT 69 days into his term AND LIVED! Folks like heroes that live through bullets when you're POTUS! He reformed the income tax code, bombed Libya because they terrorized a West Berlin night club, maintained free flow of oil during the Iran-Iraq war (bet you guys DON'T remember THAT...everybody NOW thinks it's all US wanting to start business with Iran or Iraq!) During his TWO TERMS, USA enjoyed its longest period of peacetime prosperity without recession or depression. The country once again let a POTUS have TWO terms (LAST ONE SINCE EISENHOWER in 1953 who was BEFORE Kennedy OVER A GENERATION AGO! History, what a trip! I'm beyond needing to give you a history lesson here. Since Reagan, and the folks just liked FOR ONCE since 1953 to get used to having a guy that could last two terms...they tried it again a couple of times. We then had Bush Sr. that only lasted 4 years...but then Clinton lasted EIGHT YEARS...then Bush Jr. lasted EIGHT YEARS...and folks...again...20 years "poof - gone". The last 20 years of America has been ruled by two families. It's no wonder the "unknowing", the "unstudying" decided to give a new guy a shot. Good luck to us all. Didn't want to bring race into this story...but my phone's been ringing & my e-mail's been hopping tonight from some who worry. My answer to you is THIS! If you are approached by folks all happy and high fiving' to the fact that the black man won...and you are GOP...PLEASE REMEMBER THIS! Barack Obama is as white as you are as the white man and he is as black as the black man is! His Mama was white and his Daddy was black. On the race issue, it doesn't get any more equal than that. So for the "banger" types, and the "klan" types...it's a misnomer! He's MIDDLE on that issue above ALL! Get OVER it! He's our next President and guess what? WE'RE HIS BOSS! HOW COOL IS THAT! Barack Obama won tonight. WE elected HIM! Give him a chance, slam him if he wrongs us...AND ABOVE ALL...REMEMBER...POTUS IS OUR EMPLOYEE! Also...remember THIS...the President or POTUS is but a mere figurehead...it's the CONGRESS that runs the country. If you don't like how things are going...worry more about your local, city, county, state, and national representatives! THOSE are the folks that carry the nation!
